The Portsmouth Farmer's Market Blog serves the Portsmouth Virginia area. The market provides fresh produce, herbs, meats, baked goods, sauces, and products from local farmers, backyard gardeners, bakers, and restaurants. This is a prime example of the new Green Movement’s "buy local" philosophy in action. Due to popular demand, the market is expanding and will be held on Court and High Street re-starting this Spring and running through the Fall.

About Us
The Farmer's Market is a consortium of private vendors selling locally-grown produce. Fresh eggs, chicken, fish shellfish and home-made baked goods are also regularly available.
It is administered by volunteers all of whom are committed to making fresh, locally grown or raised food available to Portsmouth, surrounding communities, and visitors.

How to Find the Market
Our NEW permanent location is now at High and Court Street in Olde Towne Portsmouth. Saturday times extend from 9:00AM to 1:30ish PM. Vendors usually start setting up around 9AM.
